Steny Hoyer Town Hall Meeting for Clean Energy-Monday!

Hey there Terps!

As our University makes it way to become a greener campus, there are so many facets of the green movement that we must take into account. For example, our campus is officially recognized as a Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation as our campus recently became an arboretum and botanical garden.

Keeping in line with the green movement, something that many of our environmental campus activists have been fighting for is clean energy. Now, you have your chance to hear a politician's perspective on clean energy and to join a discussion or find out more about how to solve the climate crisis while creating jobs and boosting our economy. House Majority Leader and our very own alum Steny Hoyer will be running a Town Hall meeting on Clean Energy this Monday! More details are below; whether you know a lot about this issue or hardly anything, it is important to hear politicians' and other students' perspectives regarding comprehensive climate legislation and how clean energy that is affordable can coincide with more jobs (there is a current climate bill in the House has a great chance of passing).

Check out more details below, and I hope you take the opportunity to hear our House Majority Leader discuss this important issue this MONDAY from 6:30-8:30:
